Week 9 Picks

Houston at Minnesota
Pick: Vikes -4.5 (3 Stars)

Coming off their bye, the Vikes defense should create enough chaos to cover by more than 5. Texans are improving, but haven't faced many defenses as strong as the Vikes.

Jacksonville at Cincinnati
Pick: Jaguars +7.5 (3.5 Stars)

Cincy will cover a spread at some point this year...and even win a game....but we're going to ride this anti-Bengal streak as long as we can. Remember, Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Baltimore at Cleveland
Pick: Browns -1.5 (5 Stars)

This game stands out for us. Yes, the Ravens won earlier this year....yes, the Ravens defense is knocking heads right now. But the Browns have turned the corner in the past few weeks, knocking off the Giants at home, playing the Redskins tough in DC, and handling the Jags last week. Browns pull out the win at home. We don't trust a rookie qb on the road.

Miami at Denver
Pick: Broncos -3.5 (4 Stars)

Miami has been playing fairly well...but they still lack talent in many areas. Broncos are a talented team, need the win, and are at home. You may want to buy the half point just in case.

Philadelphia at Seattle
Pick: Eagles -6.5 (3 Stars)

Yes, a lot of points for a team flying across the country. But the Seattle offense is going to struggle big time against the Eagles defense. Westbrook will break one or two and the Eagles will cover.

New England at Indianapolis
Pick: Patriots +6 (3.5 Stars)

Not quite the big time game it used to be. Still, we expect a tight low scoring battle. These teams still will ramp up for one another and expect a good football game here. Six points is too many for the Colts who are struggling. Getting Sanders and Addai back helps...but the Patriots are the team that is 5-2 and finding ways to win.
